OMG! STOP PROCRASTINATING MONICA! STOP STOP STOP! GET BACK TO WORK! PRIORITISE PROPERLY! WHY IN THE WORLD ARE YOU BLOGGING NOW WHEN YOU HAVEN'T DONE THOSE 10 ASSIGNMENTS?!
Okay. That's my conscience bugging me. But well, I still feel I must update my blog. And dear Annette wants to read about my post on 18 Apr's Romantic Fantasy Worlds concert. So here goes!
We met at the Esplanade - Charlotte, Sarah, Marian, Annette and I. All in our pretty dresses. :D Went for pre-concert talk which really made things clearer and made the music much... more... interesting. Yeah. Then we had about 45mins to have our dinner before the concert began. Tsk, all of us were having difficulty walking in high-heels because we were simply not used to it. Want to walk fast will be painful and will fall down. Bleh. So we walked rather slowly towards Marina Square... By the time we got there it was 6.55pm, which meant we only had 20mins to order and eat our dinner as we had to return by 7.20pm. So rush! Ordering takes time too. :S Well we made it, haha! Just on time. We had to run. Bear the pain. :( Well the concert was good! I could relate what was explained during the talk to the music played. :D I think I prefered the Midsummer Night's Dream overture by Mendelssohn to the Symphonie Fantastique by Berlioz. Both had the theme of dreams.
This week has been rather hectic... I mean, all the weeks are, haha. Yes I have a pile of homework next to my computer on my desk but I'm ditching it for this while. Hehe.
Hmm the Sec sch Debate Championships were great last night! Went to Nanyang to watch the MGS vs SCGS debate (fighting for 3rd place since we got knocked out by HCI and RI :/). Quite good. I think Anisha had great style last night. She seemed so confident and comfortable. For Min... her time management wasn't as good as usual and she rushed quite a bit in the end. I think Amaris was always quite a good 3rd speaker, so last night's performance was fine. :) And MGS won, YAY!
Better go...

Wow! I'm so proud of myself again! I finally obtained a Gold for NAPFA! YAY! Sit-ups: A, Shuttle Run: A, SBJ: B, IPU: C, Sit&Reach: C. I can't believe I got C for IPU and Sit&Reach!! Haha, thanks to my friends who helped me with stretching half an hour before the test started... :D
It was really funny the way Mr Seow tested me for SBJ. You know, I close my eyes for better concentration. And I did for SBJ. When I was about to jump, Mr Seow let out a loud shout (meant to scare me so I won't jump properly...). But you see I was closing my eyes, I just heard it, and didn't see his expression (must've been really dumb). Haha, and I jumped further than usual! Wow. After landing, I opened my eyes and looked at him with a 'weird' face and he told me that I was so not interesting. I guess he expected me to scream really loudly. Like real I would... -.-
Anyway, after PFT I went for the Student Leader interview. And sigh, Ms Ho and a Sec 4 prefect was my interviewer... I had the impression that Ms Ho has stern glares which look intimidating, but during the interview she was quite smiley and that made me feel more comfortable, fortunately. I told them I was rushing to go for French, but the interview still took about 20mins long. They asked me so many questions, nearly 15 I believe! And most of them caught me by surprise; I was mostly thinking on my feet (actually sitting down), haha! Well, this was my 1st interview and yes it was an experience worthy of remembrance. :D
I was very late for French lesson as a result. And to face Mlle Lim's disappointment in me is even worse. :'( She told me I wasn't up to standard for French, expected me to get a few marks higher... Sigh. I'm no longer in Sec 1; I can't do as well as before... :(
Well, I'm looking forward to tomorrow night because we're all going to a concert by the Yong Siew Toh Conservatory Orchestra at the Esplanade as part of our Sec 3 Arts Appreciation Programme! Wheehee! I'm gonna bring my dear camera and camwhore with friends! HAHA! Oh, and I'm also going for the pre-concert talk where they explain what the piece of music means and how it was interpreted by the composer. Overture and Incidental Music to a Midsummer Night's Dream by Mendelssohn and Symphonie Fantastique by Berlioz - they'll be awesome! And I got a stall seat, away and secluded from the rest of the MG girls - which is good to a certain extent because then I'll truly refrain from talking during the performance. :) My friends aren't happy though. They all got circle seats. Heh.
All in all, it has been a really busy but fun week for me. And that's why I've been blogging more often as there're nice things to talk about. ;)

Hahaha! Yay! Success for the run! :D 12min 24s! And without training at all! Oh I'm so proud of myself. :) Wheehee... I beat my previous timing and this is my current record timing. And perhaps my last. Best and last run... Ohh, sounds sad...
And I shall now recount the whole wonderful experience! Dear Marian was my timing-recorder; and I'm glad she did a pretty good job as she just returned to the 'Singapore system' last year. :) Thank you Marian! Last year Evangeline was my recorder and she told me (spontaneously) that I'd better run faster as she didn't want to stand under the hot sun watching me run. Haha, that really helped, I ran so fast! 12:48 last year. So this year, (I knew Marian wouldn't say this sort of thing to me since she isn't Evangeline...) I told Marian to say the exact same thing. Not imitation, but it must come from her heart. Well yay, she said it well, I had the same feeling once more that I should run faster so as not to let my friend suffer in the heat. AND YES I DID RUN FASTER! :D
You know how it feels when you run past the group of girls recording and then they cheer and scream your name... So much ecouragement! Haha. At least, it encouraged me a lot, and I felt I could run faster. :) I told myself I cannot stop running at any point of time during the run or else that would defeat the purpose of asking Marian to say that wonderful sentence. Hehe. And yes, I didn't stop!
I realised that when I'm on the 5th/6th round on the MG track (about 1.6km covered) my right hand always gets numb. And my brain will feel drained, like I can't think or count the number of rounds I've run anymore. Weird. I use my legs to run, but other parts of my body seem to 'shut down'...
Well throughout the run I was always trying to catch up with Jessica who was always right in front of me, but to no avail. Now I don't think it matters because I ran at my own pace which is the ideal speed. Heh. Completed the run finishing 3rd (half of 3O and half of 3S combined). Great! :D
After securing this 'A' (2.4km run is always my only A in NAPFA), I don't look forward to tomorrow's 5-item test. I practised stretching like crazy today because I don't want history to repeat itself. I kept failing Sit&Reach by 0.5cm 5 times last year until the kind teacher got so frustrated with me she passed me. :D I hope IPUs will be okay... I feel that my legs might buckle anytime during the shuttle run... Oh no. :( Hope for the best!! ;P

Oh sigh. Tomorrow... the 2.4km run I never trained for. Only during PE, that is. And perhaps my last 2.4km run on the dear MG track. Well, it's like this every year, the night before the run I'll get all worked up and won't be able to sleep. Then after the run, I'll feel a great sense of satisfaction! Haha. Hmm, hope I will again this year. For 2009, my 2.4km run target is not to hit 13 mins. Hehehe. I did that last year, so I hope I can again! :)Today I went to watch the Squash B div finals. MGS vs SCGS. Unfortunately, MGS lost. 3-2. Sigh. It was THAT close. At least, Jia Min, my seating partner, managed to win one set for MGS! Haha! She's so pro. And I felt she actually looks like she's dancing on the squash court with her slender racket that I trip on almost every alternate day. (Mon, Wed, Fri - she has squash training.) Haha. I'm so happy for her! :D I was reading a magazine while supporting the MG team, call me a lousy supporter, haha, but when she was playing I watched. That's because she's my friend; and I promised to scream for her. :DHmm, I think SC screams like MG (though not as loud of course... hehe). Well there was so much screaming at one point of time that the 'umpire' (do you call the 'judge' the umpire in squash?) had to raise his hand so that it'll be less noisy in the stuffy squash complex. Had fun watching though; I never watched a squash match in real life!Although MG Squashies didn't win, I think they still did a great job. A wonderful job screaming too. Haha. Yay, I'm truly proud of them! :DI practised inclined pull-ups and sit&reach today. Not much of an improvement from last week. I really really hope I don't fail sit&reach this year. :P Hope for the best for my shuttle run; I haven't tried it at all since last year... D: SBJ - today I suddenly couldn't jump; kept jumping 10cm less than usual (which is BAD). Sit-ups - not sure; see how on the actual day, haha. All the best for me! Haha! ;)The Enchanting TwilightLabels: PFT, Squash

HAHAHA! I am so happy! Yesterday I had my very first outing with friends , which consisted of watching a movie for the first time with friends (without wearing school uniform) and taking NEOPRINTS for the 1st time!! OMG I am over the moon!
Haha, yesterday I went out with Kenny and Pingwei, and we had so much FUN! First, we met up at Dover MRT station. Kenny called me saying he's alr there. Then Pingwei smsed to say she'd be 5 mins late. In the end, when I stepped out of the train, I saw Pingwei poke her head out from behind a poster where a guy was sitting in front of it reading a book in a very weird postition. Like who stands there?! So I went, "HI PINGWEI!!! What in the world are you doing behind that poster?!" Well she didn't give me a very convincing answer... Then I asked, "Where's Kenny??" And she replied, "Hmm, not sure, maybe that side..."
She turned her head in the opposite direction. I didn't follow her. I went to stare at the guy who was reading as he looked familiar somehow. He was wearing a cap and sunglasses and covering his face with the book. I guessed he must've sensed me looking at him, then he gave a very 'Kenny-like' finger snap and took of his shades and cap. HAH, the trick didn't work out very well!! I mean, who reads like that? So unnatural. But cool sunglasses! :D
Well it was a laughable start to our day out! We went to Bugis Junction and bought our tickets for Confessions of a Shopaholic - 1st thing! Then we went to have lunch at a Thai restaurant. Haha, a very long lunch indeed... 1 hr+! I bet we were making lots of noise singing (I was singing mostly) and taking pics (trying to camwhore which didn't work out so well). >.<
We took NEOPRINTS after lunch. :D 6 photos for $12. Well, we thought of6 poses but forgot all of them at once when the machine started '3,2,1'... Sad, but still, it was a wonderful experience! Most poses were thought of at that point of time, so I must say we're rather creative to a certain extent!! I LOVE THE NEOPRINTS!! Put them in my purse, which attracted lots of attention today since my friends saw that there's a GUY in the photo, and it's MONICA's neoprint!!! Hey, Kenny, you overshadowed me and Pingwei! :( HAHA, no lah. :)
COAShopaholic was so so so FUNNY! I kept laughing non-stop, Pingwei 'omg-ing' all the way and Kenny muttered dk-how many 'diao's. HAHA! I shall never become a shopaholic, hehe. The actress had to act so bimbotically (does this word exist?), haha!
We went to Plaza Singapura after getting a bit bored in Bugis. Ate a quick Jap dinner, and off we go home. End of the great day... Well today in school I was still in the 'play' mood, was so hyper until friends start teasing me -.-. Hey, I'm so glad I have neoprints!! :D Lucky today there wasn't any test - I'd have failed it straight cos I can be seen laughing to myself like a lunatic. HAHA (still laughing)!
That's about it. I must switch back to 'serious' mode. Chemistry test tomorrow. Oh my lovely eqns and formulae, I haven't got you all into my mind. It's still Kenny, Pingwei, Neoprints, Bugis. Sigh...
See you.

Sigh. My mother's off to Switzerland to work already. Now I have my father only. Won't be seeing her for 2 months+. Life is not the same being 'single-parented'. No mother to help do household chores, to cook or buy groceries etc. A mum's just different from a dad. Sigh, gotta do housework with my sis. No fun at all. Not much time for homework. Hope this period of time passes quickly.
However, when this period of time passes, that means I'm not going to see my friends in Singapore anymore for more than a year. That's bad. Mixed feelings. I can't bear to leave! :'(
Anyway I'm looking forward to tomorrow! First outing with friends! YAY! Friends from MOELC, not school. :D Shall blog about the outing after tomorrow. :)
