So by next Friday, no more personal project to be frustrated with! Final hand-in next Friday. And the Personal Project Exhibition evening will be on Tuesday and I haven't prepared much for it... :/ Oh and I'll be performing one of my poems to an audience of parents and Grade 9 students. Haha. Ooh I wonder what they'll think of my project. :P

Overall, I'm super proud of what I've done and if I'm asked to do this project again, I don't think I'd be able to do it perfectly because I just can't imagine that I had done all those WORK! :O How amazing was I. ><

Anyway, drama monologues performance is approaching soon and I'm pretty dead because I keep messing up my lines and I haven't completed my research and character studies. For my classcal monologue, I'll be acting out one of Portia's speech on mercy from the Merchant of Venice and for my contemporary monologue, I'll be acting Gonzo from a lone monologue named Purple Banana Nose. Pretty glad with my choice of characters, because Portia's very intelligent and Gonzo's mentally retarded (child-like) and seriously stupid. Haha. How awesome. Very diverse. ;)

I watched the Black Swan last Saturday and it was pretty disgusting... Could be considered horror gothic. :P I thought it'd be nice to watch the ballet performance the Swan Lake or something like that, but I was totally wrong! Lesbian relationships, psychological problems, politics being an actress/dancer etc. Ewww. Anyway, now my parents are certain that they won't let me take Theatre Arts for IB as they're afraid that I turn into that insane dancer in the movie. :S

Then on Sunday, I watched Evita, which is a life musical currently in Basel. Too many songs I felt. Like even the dialogues were all sung. I totally prefer The Phantom of the Opera and Love Never Dies (Phantom of the Opera 2), although they're by the same composer. Evita is about Argentina's history and politics - the fall and rise of Eva Peron, second wife of Juan Peron who reigned as president of Argentina during the 1940s.

Okay I better get back to drama research and food tech reflections. :/ High School briefing tonight... I guess now I know Theatre Arts is out. In the end, I really think I'd end up doing BCME. Like most people in Singapore...

PS: Oh I can't believe it, but I've gotten the top grade for every Physics test so far! Wow wow wow. Got loads of errors but the teacher's nice enough to give me the top grade. Hee. And I hope I did well on my English Literature essay on Atticus in To Kill a Mockingbird today, knowing that I suck at Lit but can't run away from it anyway. English Literature SL, here I trudge.

So my friends mostly did pretty well for the O levels. I feel happy for them. One step up to JC. Haha finding out about the different programmes and JCs is actually interesting. ><

Just back from ski camp. It was really fun, with the exception of being the slowest skier in my group. :/ But that didn't really matter as everyone waited for me. ;) Tsk but that ski instructor was so slack and I bet he got bored waiting for me and telling me to do nicer parallels. -.- He found out I speak French, so he taught and spoke to me in French, so yup some French practice for me. I could understand 90%, and thus I feel pretty proud of myself. ;P Yup, but in 3 days, how could I master parallel skiing well, considering I didn't practise during the winter holidays? Oh well.

I also did tobogganing for the 1st time, which was totally awesome and I'd love to do it again! It's like sledging haha. Winter sports are just so fun! :) The only thing that was terrible during this camp was the FOOD. Some silly French lady chef started scolding all of us in French because we filled the rubbish bin with too many chicken bones and some leftovers. She shook the bin so hard due to her extreme anger that she spilled some food out. Then she left in a huff. Plus she was so angry because she told us beforehand that we had to eat up all the food because African kids are starving. Well we would if the food wasn't that bad.

Hello 2011! This year's gonna be so interesting. I'm going to learn so much more about myself. I'm definitely going to emerge as a changed or perhaps more knowledgeable person on 31st Dec 2011. :)

For now, I'm undecided with my future and life. I don't know what I want to do, don't know what I want to be, don't know what IB subjects I'd take. I sound like a clueless idiot. Often, I think so hard I come back to square 1.

New year's day. Was spent ill in bed, taking medicine. But now I'm well. :) New Year. I've gotten tired of wishing for a happier new year annually, because I don't really find them getting happier. New Year Resolutions. Are always made but never completed. Such a simple task which I can't do. I think, I'd better not have any new year resolution this year. But well, without a goal, you achieve nothing. :'(

I'm the sort of person who plans in much detail, who tries to foresee all problems and avoid them. But life has been too thrilling to the extent of catching me by surprise. Being this organised freak, I'm caught unguarded without my planning defences, and I falter. As this new year begins, I'm actually starting to feel scared of what's going to happen.

Let me try this new year without planning in such detail. I should try overcoming this stupid weakness.

New Year Resolution - let's keep it vague - do well, be open, expect the unexpected. Stop daydreaming, stop fantasising, stop thinking about the past because it's just a heavy brick around your neck which pulls you deeper into the depths of the ocean.(These don't seem to be resolutions... >< They seem to be commandments instead.)

Okay that's it for resolutions! Now go out there and be a star! So, for the first 3 months of this year...:
Have fun at ski camp
Enjoy Basel MUN
Complete Personal Project and the interview
Get a high individual and group score for the Brussels Maths competition
Perform my 2 drama monologues well
Choose my IB subjects wisely
Enjoy Fasnacht break
GET MY LIFE THE RIGHT SIDE UP!

And for the summer - hope I can visit Singapore and Malaysia? :/

And for grade 11 - hope I've made the right choices for myself and be clearer about my future?

Maybe I wished too much. Haha.
On another note, I AM SO EXCITED FOR MY FRIENDS WHO ARE GETTING THEIR O LEVEL RESULTS AND ARE MOVING ON TO JUNIOR COLLEGE, A NEW PHASE IN LIFE!
Okay, I think I know why I'm this crazy. It's the fate I'd be heading towards had I stayed in Singapore.

Tsk, STOP stop stop. Let's move on.
I'm a happy girl here, I love every second of this life and I don't look back. :D:):/:(:S
